My customer rep was Shane. It was very simple and quick to set up a service appointment by email. Their process is straight forward. I just dropped off my 2012 VW Golf in the morning on the date of service and it was ready for pickup. I would use them again.

Enjoyable experience. Professional. Very clear communication. Prompt service. The time spent there was appropriate. Honest. I have a 2019 Mini Cooper, was nervous to take it anywhere but the dealership for any necessary service. I now feel secure about getting the service performed at Werkshop 49 instead.

We had a very mixed experience. The customer service over the phone was kind and helpful, which we appreciated. As Volkswagen owners, it can be difficult to find places that will work on our vehicle, so we felt hopeful going in. Unfortunately, the in-person experience was very disappointing. After bringing our car in for an appointment, we were simply handed a paper with an estimate of $13,000 in repairs, with little to no explanation or guidance. It was overwhelming and not helpful. The biggest issue was the $440 charge just to receive this estimate—something that was not clearly disclosed upfront. That is a significant amount of money, especially when no work was performed. It felt very misleading. In hindsight, we would have gone directly to a Volkswagen dealership, where the diagnostic fee is typically around $200 and can be applied toward repairs. Instead, we went in expecting a minor fix and left having spent hundreds of dollars with nothing resolved—just an overwhelming estimate. Be aware that there is a substantial fee just to have your vehicle looked at. Feeling very upset and out almost 500 bucks which today is truly a huge gut punch!

Skylar is next level customer service. Had an issue pop up on my car and had a race coming up in 2 days. He fit me in quickly, diagnosed the issue, and had me out in an hour. What separates Skylar is not only are his mechanic skills top notch, but he is very cerebral in his problem solving skills and he thinks long term when doing a repair. He genuinely doesn't want that problem to ever happen again so he does it right. It probably helps that he is a race car driver himself so he builds and repairs for the worst conditions. I'm a big fan.
